Feature Request: Object Configuration

Hello,

it would be nice to have the Object Configuration (http://Nagios-Server/nagios/cgi-bin/config.cgi) integrated in the Nagios XI interface. It is possible to add it as a view, but it doesn' t look very nice. Some other monitoring solutions also allow to show only selected columns, which is very useful.

I believe this is a good idea. Even though, you can always log in Nagios Core and access this page, it would be nice to have a direct link (i.e from the CCM page) and have a bit better (more modern) look. Anyway, I posted an internal feature request (TASK ID 6529). Thanks!

For hosts and services it would be nice to have it on the host / service, as an extra tab like the free variable tab component does it.
Of course it should not be visible to normal users or at least it should be configureable as it may reveal some passwords.

Noted. There is no guarantee when/if this is going to be implemented as bug reports take precedent over feature requests, but at least it is already in our system, so it won't "fall in the cracks".

I created a component how I would love to see it in Nagios XI (TASK ID 6529).
It will ad another tab to show the configuration (works only for hosts).
I' m pretty sure there are smarter ways in doing it and the coding style isn' t very smart as well.

This thread is linked to in the feature request, so the devs should be able to see your component. At any rate, since it is in our system I'd like to close this thread if that's alright with you.
