Copying/Migrating Users

Post by CFT6Server »

We have multiple instances of XI in our environment. What is a good way to copy or migration over all the users to other XIs without having to recreate them? Is there any scripts or DB import we can do?

There isn't a built-in way to do this, I have already created a feature request for it.

Are you trying to copy the dashboards, views, etc the users have as well or just the users so they can log in?

Just the users login / monitoring contact as their dashboards and views would be different anyways on each instance.
We are also using Fusion, but we would still need to have those logins being able to copy over to other XI instances.

Unfortunately, this functionality is not currently available. As ssax said, we have a feature request in place (task_id=5766) already in our system. I believe this will be implemented in one of the future releases of XI as it is an important functionality to have.
