how to utilize custom port with snap checks

Post by tecnalb »

Hello,

So I'm playing around adding new hosts, etc, and trying to see what I can pull from certain devices. So I decide to add a device (a Netgear ReadyNAS) on a customer's remote site via a snmp query. The router is redirecting port 10161 to the internal device port 161.

The only way I can see how to do this via a wizard is to specify the "IP:port". It works, but in my monitoring it now list the host as "IP:port". It seems the wizards do not allow you to specify a port in a field like many of the other settings, preventing you from specifying nonstandard ports except as part of the host's IP.

Is this the only way to do this?
Is there any way to setup or modify a group of services manually, and change this item later?

Thanks!!!!!

You can add, modify, or remove any hosts and services by accessing the Configure->Core Configuration Manager. This gives you full control over all of the details for all of your configurations.
