I updated the contact, and timeperiod for kgorman. Actually, kgorman had no timeperiod so I copied another (working) user's and named it similarly. I've attached a doc with pics that may help.
The problem remains.
It seems the timeperiod is somehow invalid.

Re: Error: User does not have a valid timeperiod for deploym
Can you show us the updated "timeperiods.cfg" and "contacts.cfg" file? The "kgorman_notificaiton_times" timeperiod seems to be defined correctly, but I would like to see the contact's definition of "kgorman".I updated the contact, and timeperiod for kgorman.

Re: Error: User does not have a valid timeperiod for deploym
On your screen shot for the Notofications Settings Management page, you are using a template called template_1. Check that to see if the settings are correct.
Also, Click on the Notification Timeperiod tab, Check this box if you want to deploy the notification time period below, and fill in the timeperiod, select kgorman as the user and update the settings.
Try that and let us know if that resolves it for you.

See the doc for a screenshot of the timeperiods tab.
The template is in use for another user so its fine.

Go to the CCM->Contacts, click on "kgorman", go to "Alert Settings", and select the "kgorman_notification_times" from the "Host/Service Notifications Timeperiod" drop-down menus. Save. Apply Configuration. Did this fix your issue?

Re: Error: User does not have a valid timeperiod for deploym
It does.
So each user has to have a unique set of notification settings based on username?
I'll have to play w/ contact groups.
Thanks
Ok to close.
