Interesting. How did you install NRPE?

Can you run this command and post the output?

find / -name common.cfg -exec cat {} \;

With Yum.

That command returns nothing.

Installing NRPE from yum isn't the most supported method.

Is installing NRPE from source on this machine viable to you?

tar xzf linux-nrpe-agent.tar.gz
cd linux-nrpe-agent
./fullinstall

To install NRPE from source on anything newer than RHEL/CentOS 4.
