avail,cgi and csv file

I'm using Nagios 3.5.1 and I like understand the avail.cgi sintax

I would extract from nagios the list of down host into csv file ?

Does it possible to do it ?

Nagios Core 4.1.1's version of avail.cgi has CSV output but you can't specify to only output a certain host state. I would need to go back to a 3.5.1 version to check if the CSV part was there back then, but I doubt we would have removed state filtering.
