Dear all,
Existing data is stored in native MRTG format. I wonder if it is possible to migrate to RRD data format in Nagios XI in order to preserve the historical data? Is there script in XI for doing this?

Re: MRTG to RRD data format conversion
This question seems incomplete.
To the best of my knowledge we've never used mrtg .log formatted files in Nagios XI. Are you trying to import the files from another system?
Regarding the actual conversion - mrtg will handle this for you:
http://oss.oetiker.ch/mrtg/doc/mrtg-rrd.en.html
However as for getting historical RRD data into an XI service - I'm unaware of any tools that provide this functionality.

Re: MRTG to RRD data format conversion
You could use this tool I created called the Performance Data Tool.
http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Ad ... ol/details
Upload it into Nagios XI via Admin > System Extensions > Manage Components.
You can merge date from one RRD file to another.
