Change log for config

Post by notverynick »

Hi Guys,

I may be missing something but I can't find this and nor any indication of who made the config changes in the snapshot list.

Is this information available and if so where?

Thanks in anticipation!

Nick,

Not directly from the snapshot list, but you can see the changes in Admin -> Audit Log

Thanks Scott that's great.

Is there anywhere to see what changed every time a config update is applied?

Unfortunately, this info is not available in the Audit log. After applying configuration, you will see something like this:

Code: Select all

...
User applied a new monitoring configuration
User submitted a command to the subsystem (ID=1131)
...
Every time you apply configuration successfully, a new configuration snapshot is created. Maybe you could compare it to the previous snapshot and try to identify the changes that were made. This would not be very easy though, so adding this extra info to the Audit log (if possible) would be a good feature request.
