How To Remove Generic Ip i Add For Monitoring Host ?

Post by mohsin2011 »

hi,

How to remove generic ip that we have configured for monitoring i did by going ..
Configure --> run monitor wizard --> Generic Network Device and set host ip for monitoring..

by going to configuration--> Nagios core configuration manager-->Host under monitoring you will get the ips you added from Generic Network Device but when i try to del them it gives me error,

"No data deleted. The dataset probably does not exist, is protected from deletion or has relations to other configurations which cannot be deleted. Use the "info" function for detailed information about relations! "

how can i delete these ips to start work from initial stage!

mohsin,

Before you got most of the way there, there is just one thing you'll have to do before you can delete it.

You need to find any services associated with under the "Services" part in the CCM. Delete those, THEN delete the host.
