Report for pages only?

Post by emartine »

Is it possible to create a report based on page alerts that have gone out instead of all alerts?

Can you clarify what you mean by "page alerts"? Do you mean an actual pager vs email or SMS?

yes actual pages that went out based on the Pager Number field in Contact Management area for individual contacts. I'm trying to get a report that can gather all the pages that have gone out.

Are you using sendmail, SMTP, or a third party gateway to send out your page alerts?

We don't have any way to differentiate what is an email versus what is a page, since from Nagios' point of view they're all notifications, especially if a custom notification handler was used. The closest we could get with what's available right now is if you have specific contacts set up for pages that are different from the contacts for emails, then in theory you could filter based on who received the notification. But as of right now we don't have a great way to do what you need in an automated fashion.
