Schedule Downtime - Wrong Date

Post by rajasegar »

We are trying to schedule downtime and the saved downtime is using the wrong dates.
2015-11-20_09-15-01.png
We selected start as 2012-11-20 and end as 2015-11-21 using the date picker.
However it ended up as totally wrong dates.

However if we typed the date and time manually, it is captured correctly.

This problem just started as we upgraded to R5.2.2 from R5.2
Our other instance of XI R5.2.2 is ok.

There was no changes to the system at all.

Can you show us:

Admin > System Config > System Settings > Timezone
and
Admin > System Config > System Profile > Click Show Profile button and show us the date and time in that.

Also, can you show us the page where you enter in all the Scheduled Downtime information before you click the button to submit it please.

Please note that it captures correctly if we typed in manually in the following format.
dd-MM-yyyy HH:SS

The date picker gives in MM-dd-yyyy HH:SS

According to our developers, on the scheduled downtime page, if you are set to a different timezone on the server, the downtime is converted into your browser's timezone. Is your browser set to "Asia/Kuala_Lumpur" timezone? What is the date format for the user/user defaults set for - YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS?

User set to dd/MM/YYYY HH:MM:SS.
This does not explain why it was working fine all this while. The other 2 servers using the same settings are fine.

I am trying to recreate this over here, but running into issues. What browser was used when the date didn't appear properly?

I am not able to recreate the issue. Can you show us screenshots of your workstation's time settings, the general account settings (Admin->System Settings->User Defaults), and user's settings? See examples below:
example01.PNG
example02.PNG
example03.PNG
Next, go to Home->Scheduled Downtime->Schedule Host Downtime, select "Start" and "End" time using the picker, show us a screenshot BEFORE you click on the "Schedule" button, and AFTER you click on the "Schedule" button.
