XI 5.2.2 Upgrade Issue Error: Template 'use'

Post by brdr »

Hi Support Team,

I literally just tried to upgrade from 2.7. to 5.2.2. I'm getting this error during the upgrade AND when I attempt to Write Database Configs to file. I wrote successfully, after DELETING and went to verify and got this error:

Error: Template 'use' specified in service definition could not be not found (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/servicetemplates.cfg', starting on line 833)

Line 833 in servicetemplates.cfg is:

define service {
name xiwizard_windowswmi_service
use
check_command check_xi_service_wmiplus
register 0

}

I can bring up the XI in 5.2.2 but because it didn't complete successfully i'm not sure if this upgrade is good.

Can you please help. Thx.

It appears the xiwizard_generic_service template didn't get inserted for the 'use' clause.

Please close. For some reason the xiwizard_generic_service template got disabled during upgrade.

I enabled it and re-ran upgrade and was able to delete config/write and verify and all looks good.

Thx
