Email delay in delivery from Nagios Server

Dear Support,

We have used passive monitoring for monitoring IISReset commands issued on webserver. If the IISReset is issues Nagios quickly identifies the state and shows it as changed however the email comes after 5-15 minutes. We have set the service notification to be sent immediate and there is no delay in email system.

Are you using sendmail or SMTP for your alerts?

Also, can you PM me the headers of one of the emails that comes through delayed?
