XI 5.2 and Mod Gearman - Best Practices

Hi Support,

We will be upgrading our PROD Nagios XI to the latest XI 5 release from 2.7. In PROD we have XI server and 2 mod-gearman workers (servers) for distribution.

In this configuration I'm assuming that the workers also require upgrade to XI 5, correct? Is there any additional considerations that I need to understand before moving forward with the upgrade with respect to mod-gearman, i.e. is mod-gearman (mod_gearman-1.5) compatible with XI 5?

gearman is more concerned with the underlying Core version than with XI itself. From XI 2014R2.7 to XI 5.2.2 the Core version went from 4.0.8 to 4.1.1 and there were no major changes regarding broker modules (how gearman connects with Core) that I am aware of. To be clear, I always recommend taking backups before attempting an upgrade, but I can't think of anything that should break.

I can also vouch that 1.5 remains stable on the latest version of XI. Would it be fine if we closed this thread? Thanks!
