HARD State on Host

HARD State on Host

Why the Host show me a HARD State Type in the 1/5 check attempt ? Is something that i set ? the correct state is SOFT, Right?

This was a bug in older XI versions that I think we fixed. What XI version are you on?

Is upgrading an option for you at all? This should resolve the issue.

I updated to the last version of nagios xi ( 5.2.2 ). The problem was solved in parts.

Passive host checks are normally treated as HARD states, unless the passive_host_checks_are_soft option is enabled.

What is the output of the following command?

grep passive_host_checks_are_soft /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg
