We did create a 64bit VM that you can download. It should be available at the following URL

thanks for are all your help, the VM works great and most likely saved my job. I am still curious however what you did right that we failed to do multiple times?

We haven't quite figured that out yet either. An observation that we're finding is that there are certain yum packages that fail inconsistently, and for no obvious reason. We've been doing some digging to try and figure out why some packages fail to install, only some of the time, and only on some systems. But in the meantime we're looking at adding some more sanity checks and logging to our installer files so we can try and narrow things down and identify future problems.

Our apologies for the installation hassles, we just weren't able to recreate the issue. We're glad the VM is running well for you though!
