I'd like the trap sender to send alert traps continually

There's a checkbox in the trap config that lets the admin choose to send or not in downtime.

Perfect, that should work then. Again I am not 100% sure how it operates at a code level, but if that option is there we can work with it. I'll update this thread once we have the feature request filed.
