Folder monitoring

Hi,

We are on a trial to see if Nagios is going to be our Classic monitoring Tool,
So far it looks really great, can everything we need and a bit more it seems.

But I am having trouble to verify if it can do folder monitoring, I can see on other posts that files Count is no problems, but are we able to see if a specific file have been located in a folder for over 5 min?
We have some file flows were files need to be picked up within 5 min.

Yes, this should be possible. What type of folder is this (share, linux, windows, etc.)?
