I'm having a huge amount of trouble figuring out if I can monitor an AWS instance, specifically an EC2 server. I'm not able to install the standard linux NRPE agent, as it tells me it isn't compatible with AWS, and there's no installer or wizard I can find for EC2 servers anywhere.
Some information from Nagios, such as this: https://www.nagios.com/solutions/aws-monitoring/ suggest that this can be done, but I can't find any information anywhere. Anyone have any tips? There are some important servers in AWS that we'd really like to monitor.

Re: Monitoring an AWS ec2 instance
If you can't hack together NRPE to work, would check by SSH work out? https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ng_SSH.pdf
Also, what is failing on NRPE? Are you using the fullinstall script, or compiling from source?

Re: Monitoring an AWS ec2 instance
Somehow I missed the document about installing from source haha. It works now! You can close this post.
Thanks!
