We made a copy of the current check command and used the check_vmware_api.pl instead: does not work at all.
Do you have any more info as in how to implement this check? Would be nice to see NagiosXI use this as default instead of the deprecated one....

Can you elaborate on this? What is not working? Please, show us the exact command that you are running from the command line along with the output of it.

My apologies for the late reply.
It seems the command does indeed work when used on an esxi host. When used on a VMA we did not get it to work, but this is probably a different issue. We will look in to that when moving to esxi 6 and view 6.2.
