Adding a filter to a dashboard

Post by Fred Kroeger »

When I try to add a filter to a dashboard it only displays a box that allows me to add a "querystring". How can I add a filter for a field.

thanks - Fred

The easiest way to add a filter is as follows:

First, load up a dashboard that you'd like to perform your filter on.

Next, create a filter by clicking one in the list of filter on the bottom-left hand corner of the log list panel. Alternatively you can fully open any log and press the magnifying-glass button. Screenshot for clarity:

One you have applied the filter, it will show up under the 'filters' section where you can edit or remote it as necessary:

Let me know if you have any questions, thanks!
