HTML Email Templates

Hi All,

We are currently monitoring hundreds of services from the free open source version of Nagios. We would like to opt for the business version, hence, we have downloaded and installed NagiosXI 60 day trial version so that we can deploy several machines for testing, however, we have our requirements when it comes to alerting. Since we have several managed services clients, we want to setup an alert system from NagiosXI so that our clients can be informed individually and automatically via email if any alerts occurred.

Currently, we have our own HTML template for alerting ( See attached), this template is tested and it’s working properly on the free version of Nagios. We would like to know if this template can be deployed on the NagiosXI version and possibly, how to do it. We would like to know also if the business version has HTML templates that we can benefit from, considering that NagiosXI is not an open source platform.

Nagios default alert template is not suitable for us. For example, the here under customized service HTML template is the current template that we receive via email when there is a similar alert for a particular client, which in this case the alert is showing a memory usage on a Linux server. We would like to get more information from your end with regards to alerting so your earliest reply is much appreciated, thanks.

On your core machine, how are you currently handling alerts? Do you have a command defined that parses the information into HTML and sends it out?

We would like to know if this is compatible with Nagios XI and also if the business version has HTML templates that we can benefit from, considering that NagiosXI is not an open source platform, thanks.

Yes, you can set up event handlers to be whatever you would like.

I just tested that bold tags work in the email I sent out. I edited the default email template, and had an alert send out.

Do you have any HTML Alert templates to choose from?

We just have the normal template, which you can add HTML to. Is there something in particular you're looking to do that's not working?
