monitor download and upload

i have a router mikrotik and i need monitor the download and upload
is possible with nagios nagios core or XI

In Nagios XI we have the Switch and Router Wizard. It uses SNMP to graph the bandwidth, so as long as your router supports SNMP this can be done. Core can do this too but there is no wizard so it will need to be set up by hand.

the bandwidth monitor for the wizard gives me results in bytes... i need the results in bits...

Found that certain versions of Mikrotik firmware produce different results while monitoring bandwidth... so far 6.32.4 code seems most accurate.

rbuckle, thanks for that info. The devs are working on a version of the wizard that will let you select the output that you would like (in bits or bytes), I don't have an ETA on it yet though.
