Editing Host Name and IP HELP ???

What flavor? Ubuntu? RHEL? CentOS?

i made the changes in the .cfg file where the host is located, do i need to compile the new change?

If the configuration files have no errors, all you need to do is start the nagios service, and you should be fine.

Fixed... That is what was happening is that the host device i edited than left errors to associated deices that needed editing. Once all associated devices had been edited it fired back up... Thx guys, first time in Nagios so thanks for bearing with me.
