5.2.3 Upgrade

Post by EnvBroker1 »

We upgraded from 2014R1.3 to 5.2.3. The text said upgrade complete, but we got a red banner saying "The update did not complete successfully. Please try updating manually." We in 5.2.3 and everything seems to be working. If we do the check for updates it says your server is at 5.2.3, no update necessary. During the upgrade there were warnings for duplicate definitions and things like that but we didn't have any find errors.

And for some reason, I can't find the install log??

It's a display bug, it should be resolved in the next version. Everything should be just fine.

This was a bug (task_id=6568) that was fixed. You should not be able to see this "bogus" message when upgrading your Nagios XI server from now on.

As for the log - you should have an "upgrade.log" in the "/tmp/nagiosxi/" directory.

If you see the correct Nagios XI version on the bottom-left you should be fine. Let us know if you experience any other issues after the upgrade.
