View only new alerts?

Post by mleo40 »

I was wondering if there was a way to view only "new" problems.

My situation is kind'a complicated, but my primary nagios host is going down to be moved today.

My backup server is still in the process of being built and has 500 current problems due to firewalls.

Is there a way I can view my backup nagios server for only NEW problems that occur? You know...problems that come in after 10a.m. today?

If I could, I could use the backup server to at least monitor everything it can currently monitor and is currently green. If it were to turn red during the migration, it will be very hard to filter through the noise of known problems.

Also note: my backup is set to NOT notify. I would just like to manually keep an eye on things during the migration.

Thanks!

Would the 'unhandled' button under problems give you the information that you're looking for? On my instance, it's only showing issues that I've had since 5:00 PM (7 minutes ago)
