The Nagios server did still send an alert out, or have I missed something?
Can you show us the actual email notification that you received?
Yes, not at work at present but can tomorrow. My colleague forwarded me the email they had received from Nagios with regards to this alert. Hence him questioning me as to why he received an alert for a service that was in downtime.
