Nagvis version

Post by krobertson71 »

I was noticing that we are using NagVis version 1.1 when the latest available is 1.7.

Just wandering if there was a reason for this and, if not, is there a safe/good way to upgrade this on our own.

Actually we are using NagVis 1.5.9. Upgrading NagVis (that ships with XI) is on our "TODO" list. Unfortunately, I don't have an ETA on this.

Ok cool. The screenshot below is what has me confused. We just updated to the latest version of XI and this version number threw me off.

Yea, that's the version of our component that integrates NagVis. Yes, it is confusing :)

I'll +1 that request to have NagVis upgraded to the latest version. I rely heavily on it for Dashboards

We are using Nagvis 1.8.5 with our NagiosXI. Works fine.
We did have some issues after upgrading it, but I cannot remember what they where. We solved them the same day, so no biggie...

So upgrading it by hand is an option. Maybe not smart support wyse...

That's exactly the case. Great instructions have been wrote to do it, but we cannot support it. We can only support what ships with the system, as we cannot account for any changes that are made by software.
