ntpdate[19323]: no server suitable for synchronization found

Post by expctro »

Install Nagios Core no problem with Centos 6.7, but now I need to install Nagios Log Server to review logs of a server with Windows 2008 R2.
Download nagios log server version 1.4.0, but running the ./fullinstall installer fails to complete the installation reporting a mistake I don't know.

Looks to be an issue with NTP. Just to clarify, are you installing NLS on the same server as Core?

I have a few questions that will help narrow down what the issue is.
- What is the result of ntpdate -vd?
- Can you post your /etc/ntp.conf file?
- Do you have a firewall blocking NTP traffic?
