Hello,
I received a mail from nagios xi sales team with a response for this question : If I want to deploy a nagios xi cluster will I require 2 or 1 nagios license?
The answer was : "Each Nagios XI license key may be used on one (1) separate monitoring server that is
designated as a disaster recovery (DR) instance, as long as the following condition is met:
• The DR instance is in non-operational mode (e.g. it is not actively monitoring hosts
and services), except when it assumes operation when the primary monitoring server
fails."
Does this count as an HA server ? If not how can I deploy it?
Many Thanks,
Peter

Re: Nagios Backupserver
For your reference, this question is best directed at Sales. I did ask them for clarification though, and they informed me that you will be fine under our standard license as long as your HA server is in a active / passive setup. An active / active setup will require an another license.
