Can you run a ping for a while and see if you see the same results as Fred mentioned?
Are you using a DHCP server in your environment?

I have a feeling this is network related, but we'll have to take a look based on those questions.
Is the core machine on the same subnet as the XI machine?
For some, yes. For some others, no. The problem happens on multiple machines on the same and other subnets.

I did run a long ping on one of the hosts it repeated the warning for and did not see what Fred mentioned.

Are you using a DHCP server in your environment?
No. They are all static.

We have been running Core for years and just recently migrated over to XI. We have never seen this with Core. In fact, we are still running Core, since XI is, currently, unreliable because of this.

I was actually asking if the Core and XI machine are on the same subnet.

Also - as @tmcdonald mentioned, what version of XI are you running?

Sorry, misunderstood the question about the subnet. Yes, they're on the same subnet. But we do have multiple instances of Core running on different subnets and locations.

The version of XI we have is 5.2.3.

I have seen this issue in the past and usually what it is is a corrupt routing table in one of the routers between the 2 hosts that you are pinging.
Can you flush the routing table in your routers?

You're probably right about this. I ran a long ping and saw the (DUP!) eventually. I'll work with our NOC to see if we can figure this out. I can update this thread when I have more information, if you'd like.

Sure, I'll leave this thread open. Let us know if the issue gets resolved after speaking to the NOC.

Sorry for the late response, but it appears that updating the Qlogic NIC firmware drivers resolves the issue.
