We are going from rc1.4 to latest version. Do you see any problems jumping from this low a version to the latest?
Also, After we disable shard allocation, do we need to leave the services running on each host while we perform the upgrade or do we need to stop logstash and elasticsearch before the manual upgrade.
Instructions did not specify.
I know the cluster needs to be up to disable shard allocation but was not sure about upgrade itself.
upgrading Nagios log server
Re: upgrading Nagios log server
This was tested in QA and should work with no problems. We are going from rc1.4 to latest version. Do you see any problems jumping from this low a version to the latest?
The upgrade will restart the services for you, so it should make no difference whether or not you stop the processes yourself. The easiest way is to just leave them running and perform the upgrade. Also, After we disable shard allocation, do we need to leave the services running on each host while we perform the upgrade or do we need to stop logstash and elasticsearch before the manual upgrade.
Thanks!
