1. On my first question I meant to say if it is possible to cut/paste screen prints directly into the Reply section without attaching the document. I have tried it and it did not work. Therefore, I am attaching the screen print of the dashboard for my second question
2. As you can see from the attached dashboard screen that "EMDCS Parts Applications" panel shows all applications running in the environment. We have 30-40 applications and I would like to create additional panels for some individual applications so we can evaluate their performance, pick times, time of access, etc

Understood. The only way to add an image to a post is to use the upload button and include it inline per my previous post.1. To center in on a particular application, you could click on any of them in the 'EMDCS Parts Application' panel. If you'd like to see more of your applications, I recommend clicking the 'gear' icon in the top-right of that panel and increasing the amount of visible applications.2. To create additional panels, move your mouse to that blue area on the left-hand side of your dashboard, it will expand out and an 'add panel' button will be revealed - feel free to explore all of those options.
What I don't understand is why you can't utilize the dashboard in your screenshot to accomplish what you're asking - what exactly is missing from the current dashboard?
Re: Log data is incorrectly displayed on the dashboard
As you have recommended I have clicked the 'gear' icon and did no see the option to increase the amount of visible applications. See the screen prints attached with settings.
To answer you question, I can drill down to the required application as long can see it on the panel. Therefore, It goes back to the previous question.
However, we would like to place the dashboard with panels displaying individual applications on the plasma screen in IT area so everyone will see how critical applications are performing. I do not know if this is possible.

Re: Log data is incorrectly displayed on the dashboard
Adjusting the length on the terms panel will allow it to show more entries. You should be able to make a panel for whatever you'd like. Can you provide an example of what your ideal panel(s) would look like?

Re: Log data is incorrectly displayed on the dashboard
Thank for pointing out the terms panel. In have changed it from 10 to 20 and now can see more applications. Please let me know what the term does and how far I can change its parameter.
Let me explain what I would like to accomplish with panels and applications. In this dashboard attached there are many applications (see on the right) and I have managed to single out just one of them (see left). I do not know on how display additional individual applications on separate panels. One application per panel.

Re: Log data is incorrectly displayed on the dashboard
If you need to add more rows, you can hit the gear in the upper right corner to add another row. This will give you another row to add panels to. I'm not entirely sure that's what you're asking me for, please correct me if I am wrong.

I'm not sure how far you can go, I have mine set at 100 for my main panel.gimeb wrote:how far I can change its parameter.

Re: Log data is incorrectly displayed on the dashboard
Thank for the reply regarding term parameter.
Let me explain my other question.
I can create multiple rows and panels representing individual applications. I will only need to display one application per panel. It seems to me that I need to execute separate quires on each panel to select only one application to display. I do not know how to do it.

Re: Log data is incorrectly displayed on the dashboard
Inside of NLS, when you create a new panel, you can have a field of information on that panel. For instance, my NLS is set up so that I can see all of the IPs that try to brute force my cloud servers in one panel, all of the locations of those IPs in another... It sounds like what you want is multiple panels that show multiple pieces of information per host? What pieces of information are you trying to get?

Re: Log data is incorrectly displayed on the dashboard
On each host we are hosting 30-40 web applications. I would like to display the most critical ones (5-10) on individual panels for the same host

Re: Log data is incorrectly displayed on the dashboard
If you expand out the entry for a log in the screenshot you sent, does it properly parse out the message? I believe that table will always show the full message, and then there are options to use grok to provide context/labels.
