What history are you referring to?

With what's provided, you're only deleting the raw files. The database is used to write the configuration files to the disk.

Performance history is usually lost when services renamed in CCM
- trying to understand whether it is lost right away or stays somewhere?

Performance data is not lost when you rename a service. The location you can find it in is /usr/local/nagios/share/perfdata/. I don't believe this is cleared upon removing a host / service, for preservation reasons.

The Performance Data Tool has a delete functionality which is what you are most likely after:

http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Ad ... ol/details

Upload it into Nagios XI via Admin > System Extensions > Manage Components.

Access it via the Tools menu.
As of May 25th, 2018, all communications with Nagios Enterprises and its employees are covered under our new Privacy Policy.

Awesome! Are we good to mark this thread as resolved, and close it out?
