Nagios System component status mostly stopped?

Post by lee.krause »

After a long weekend, I logged in to Nagios and found that the
XI System Component Status looked like this:

I've tried to restart the Nagios service and the server, but nothing has changed.

Where I can I find the logs to find out what happened?

thanks.

Use this doc as reference, the section 'Logs Located In /var' applies to this scenario
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... ptions.pdf

Also, take a look at usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log

Found the issue. The Nagios user was locked.
From /var/log/cron:
Apr 6 13:53:01 REDSA0ELPV016 crond[24251]: (nagios) FAILED to authorize user with PAM (Authentication token is no longer valid; new one required)

I unlocked the account and it's working now.

Nice catch! Were there any other questions, or may we lock this thread?
