Change mysql password

We have Nagios XI 2014R2.7 installed on RHEL 6.7. If the Nagios XI is installed using the default MySQL password "nagiosxi", after the Nagios XI is installed, what would be the correct steps/procedures to change the MySQL password so that the Nagios XI will not be broken and failing to connect to MySQL database? Thanks!
