Bulk import from Intermapper

Post by rbuckle »

My company has a really old version of intermapper and are looking to get nagios XI to replace.

Any ideas how i may import the data from intermapper into Nagios XI?

I am not too familiar with Intermapper, can you post a couple examples of configuration files you use for us to take a look at?

I actually was able to import via the bulk tool with name and IP... i just wish that Nagios XI was able to add smnp probes the same way

I can always file a feature request for this, are you looking for a bulk import SNMP OID/MIBs essentially?

Intermapper has an .csv export function if you are looking to just get a list of hostnames and IP's that can be leveraged on an import.

OID's/MIB's might be a stretch, I haven't looked at it in awhile. ...but it would be useful for us as well.

Is there a "one-pager" on how to setup a new service check with a handful of OID's? (Use case is one large hardware health check service per device type... Cisco 3750, Nexus 7k etc. There are 10k-line perl scripts out in the Exchange community, but it would be good to see this functionality in a raw (and stable) form.

Ah, I thought they may have an export method for the OID's/MIB's which is why I asked.

You should be able to use the SNMP Configuration Wizard (Configure -> Configuration Wizards), enter the host IP, and then you'll see a part to configure the SNMP Services.

Is that what you're looking for?
