BUG: Installation failed, check internet connectivity...

Post by TBT »

Potential bug: When managing Components and Config Wizards via Install Updates in XI 5.2.2 Web GUI, the message "Installation failed, check internet connectivity or proxy settings." occurs even though the package successfully update.

I noticed this behavior yesterday as well. I will see if anyone else has around here. Are you using HTTPs? That's the only thing I can think of that sets me aside from a stock install.

Is there anything relevant in /var/log/httpd/error_log from the time you updated?

Hey Willem, TBT.

It looks like Scott might have fixed this in the next release (5.2.3) before we even knew we had the issue. I don't have an ETA on that unfortunately.

Just fyi, but I again have this issue too: https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... it=+update

I'm getting this error in Nagios XI:

Code: Select all

Could not download wizard version list from Nagios Server, check Internet Connnectivity
And this error in Nagios Reactor:

Code: Select all

A PHP Error was encountered
Severity: Warning

Message: file_get_contents(http://api.nagios.com/versioncheck/?product=nagiosreactor&version=2014R0.94&stableonly=1&output=xml): failed to open stream: Connection timed out

Filename: helpers/licensing_helper.php

Line Number: 524
Checked our Internet connectivity and firewall and all seems ok.

Hey Guys,

Long time lurker here. I do post just not for a while. I have 2 things that worked for this issue. 1. Change Proxy 2. Disable Proxy. I have 3 systems and 2 had issues with this even after 5.2.7 One i changed the proxy to match the one that was working fine and that worked. The other instance doing the same didnt work well because it was already using that proxy so i just disabled it. Dont know if something is getting stuck or a switch is not occurring or what but i thought i would just chime in. Let me know if this helps.
