Re: New Contacts - Notification
Hi there:
Thanks for your reply; I checked all that in the link you sent me with no luck,
I am trying to send to a contact that I have created , this contact is not a user in Nagios ,
I am referring to point 2 in the article
I also checked that I don't have problem with relay , as I am able to send if I tick myself
Regards
Amir

Re: New Contacts - Notification
Amir,
Go to: Core Config Manager->Alerting->Contacts, find your contact and click on the "Modify" Action button. Post screanshots from the "Common Settings" tab (showing your Host/Service commands) and from the "Misc Settings" tab.

Re: New Contacts - Notification
Once your contact is not set as a user in Nagios XI, try setting:
Host command = notify-host-by-email
Service command = notify-service-by-email
Test to see if you are going to receive notifications now.

Re: New Contacts - Notification
Hi lmiltchev:
I have done the changes as suggested, I will let you know the outcome.
Just a question , from your post , should the contact be a XI user? , will that makes it easier than using a contact
Thabnks for all your help.

Re: New Contacts - Notification
Amir,
Go to: Core Config Manager->Alerting->Contacts->Modify. Find the "Host command*" and "Service command*" under the "Common Settings" tab, click on both "Modify" buttons (for host and service commands) and post the screenshots.
From your last screenshots, it is not clear if you actually selected host/service commands - all options are "greyed out" as far as I can see.
