Send Nagios Notifications to Lync 2013

Is it possible to send notifications to a chatroom in lync 2013, and if so, is there any information available for doing so?

If you can script it from your XI server, you can do it with something called event handlers. You'll need to figure out how to send data to Lync - I imagine there's an API.
