I noticed you have Gnome installed - this can cause problems with XI, especially if you have installed other packages as well. It also looks like you are using a self-signed certificate, so there might be some SSL errors. We're going to need more information that probably shouldn't be posted publicly - would you be willing to move this to a ticket? Emailing [email protected] will open a ticket in our system, assuming you have been added to the whitelist by our Sales team.

Please send that through and reference this thread, and we can continue there.

The first initial installation of this server was done in our test environment and then moved to production. Gnome was installed in purpose as we mostly using Windows environment and we have very limited resources to support Linux based system. However, we went a long way from the proof of concept for Nagios to live system. There was no additional software installed on this server apart Nagios (clean install). If Gnome will create more problems in the future we will consider to uninstall Gnome from this server.
About email alert problem.
I was looking at Nagios knowledge base and found emergency database restore procedure described in "Nagios XI - Manual Backup And Restore Databases" document. Our Nagios is running as VM so I took a snapshot of the VM and perform this emergency database restore for "nagiosxi" DB and it worked immediately :) !!! Email alerts sent as expected. I have left couple of monitored services down over the night to check if email alerts still sent to Infrastructure team and today in the morning we have all of them.
I think we can close this thread but anyway, if you have any suggestions we will strongly consider to implement them to avoid any problems with email alerting in the future.

Very odd, normally the DB repair script we had you run fixes things. I'll go ahead and close this now, but if you need anything in the future feel free to start up a new thread!
