Getting error: Could not read host and service status inform

Hello

I am getting this error

when opening any link in CURRENT STATUS

any suggestion what could be wrong ?

on more inspection I was able to find our that the system is not able to generate status.dat file on reboot (system not service) also the object.cache did not get updated after initial install that was done in the morning,
I tried to retrieve a default status.dat file from installation directory and was able to run the program minus the new Router I just added,
Want to know what I may be missing which is causing the non-generation of this file and updation of other files

What version of CentOS are you running? I recommend a clean install, and using one of our documents to install it. https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... entos7.pdf has instructions that I wrote, or more are available here - https://support.nagios.com/kb/category.php?id=58

Looking at the log files, it appears you're missing quite a few plugins as well.

running on Centos 6.x updated to 6.7
should I install Centos 7 and clean install on it ?

Yes, definitely do a clean / minimal install of Cent 7 and use this guide for the rest:

You can close this thread I am doing fresh install of Centos 7 basic server. In case I get similar problem I will open a new thread
