Non-Admin check notification method
Non-Admin check notification method
I have several hosts and checks that non-administrators of Nagios are setup to receive notifications on. Is there a simple method for which they can check what service/host checks get email notifications and which ones get SMS notifications? I can see these by selecting the individual check and seeing the notications within CCM but they don't have access to that.
Re: Non-Admin check notification method
I tried this here as a user with limited UI access and could not find a way to accomplish what you're looking for. It seems these users will at least need CCM access, perhaps this doc may help if you haven't already seen it

Yeah, I've read that. It would be nice to have the ability for users who have rights to see and receive notifications to also see the notification methods as wel
Re: Non-Admin check notification method
Can you show us a screenshot of the page where you can see the notification method (email or/and SMS) for a host/service in the CCM?I can see these by selecting the individual check and seeing the notications within CCM but they don't have access to that.

Re: Non-Admin check notification method
These were from a service template so under Alert Settings | Manage Contactgroups. That is how I see who gets notification. They don't have access to CCM.
Re: Non-Admin check notification method
If the user doesn't have access to the CCM, then they will not be able to see the notification method.
Can they login to the core interface and see the information?
Try this to login to the core interface replacing the IP address for xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/nagios/
