Nagios Core and Nagios Log Server

Dear all
I have a NAgios Core ( ver 4.0.8 ) to monitorazing my host and services.Now I wanto to monitorize also a log file .
I will need a second host with Nagios Log Server or update the first one , I means its possible to have boot with just one Nagios Server.

You should not run Nagios Core on the same server that you have Nagios Log Server installed on. It -might- work, but this is not tested by us, nor is it supported.

Just a queston : does Nagios Core cans manage log files as the Nagios Log Server ?

No, Nagios Core uses passive and active check results, generally coming from an agent/plugin. Nagios Log Server is a product that receives all of your log files, stores them, alerts on them, and makes it easy to search through them.

So, the question is , can I monitore the event log from windows machine with the Nagios Core ?
