I just checked the status of this, which is 'pending' and no other news on it yet, nor can I provide a timeline. If it were a bug fix that would be different, However, this is a feature request so these are a lower priority.
Also, a feature request does not mean the feature will be included for sure, it is entirely up to dev to make that call.
