So I have a pretty basic question.
Should a nagios XI install work on Ubuntu 16.04.
If so, are there prerequisites required?
I am constantly getting errors similar to the following:
E: Package 'php5' has no installation candidate
E: Package 'libapache2-mod-php5' has no installation candidate
E: Package 'php5-gd' has no installation candidate
E: Package 'php5-mcrypt' has no installation candidate
E: Unable to locate package php5-mssql
E: Package 'php5-mysql' has no installation candidate
E: Unable to locate package php-html-template-it
E: Package 'php5-pgsql' has no installation candidate
E: Unable to locate package php5-snmp
E: Unable to locate package php5-ldap
E: Unable to locate package php5-curl
Supported Operating Systems?
Re: Supported Operating Systems?
I've never seen a Nagios XI installation on Ubuntu Server, so I don't think it's supported. You should use CentOS or Red Hat 6 or 7.

@WillemDH is correct, only CentOS and RHEL are supported:
