Disaster recovery procedure

Post by comfone »

Hi All
We are using Nagios Log Server 1.4.0.
Is there a documented/recommended procedure for disaster recovery on an other site/location?
Thank you in advance for your help.

It may not be a bad idea to have your backups off site. See this document on how to set backups up.

I would make sure that you don't have your cluster nodes in different geographic locations though, as latency could be troublesome.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Sorry for butting in here, but are you virtualized? Snapshots or other hypervisor level backups are also another option. And in many cases, much easier to restore from.
