I just imported the Nagios XI OVA, and it worked without issues. Attached are my screenshots.
Please show us your Network tab screenshot again, as you have your current settings, and also the output of ifconfig at that same time. Does your local machine receive an IP from DHCP based on a MAC reservation or anything like that? I'm wondering of your DHCP server isn't broadcasting for this VM, for whatever reason.

Make sure that in VMware the NIC that the VM is bridged to is the one connected to your network. I've seen issues where is selects an adapter like a wireless one and causes issues.
