http://enterprise.netscout.com/apps/truviewWhat metrics are you looking to grab? If your switch/router/asa can give you the information, generally via SNMP, it can be set up to be monitored in XI.jkinning wrote:but we are not really monitor network bandwidth which I believe is why they are looking at TruView.
It looks like you've had a post about this in the past: https://support.nagios.com/forum/viewto ... 16&t=37151. Did that solution not end up working out for you?jkinning wrote: loss of network drives
Might need a little more information on this one, but I've seen Oracle, MySQL, and MSSQL all monitored very successfully with XI.jkinning wrote:high I/O on a database

Trickier...does your app have the information readily available? If the competing product is claiming to do this out of the box, I would request a demo to see how it is done.jkinning wrote:slow performance on applications when performing day-to-day tasks
As a Nagios employee I don't have anything useful to contribute here - but I will say it's the first time I've heard of this product.jkinning wrote: Also, has anyone migrated from TruView to Nagios XI and if so could you share some basic reasons why?
Not to pat ourselves on the back - but I'm going to totally pat ourselves on the back. I think we offer pretty great support compared to some companies I have dealt with in the past. That is one of the major selling points of Nagios in general if you ask me. We have a great community with users who like to contribute back, and pretty good response times. I hope you decide to stick around.jkinning wrote:I have become acquainted with Nagios XI and starting to understand the layout and how to add some more advanced monitoring, to a certain point then I come running to this board
