What version of NSClient++ are you running? It could be related to a SSL key, but I would think that the error would be different. As we did not write NSClient++, it's hard to say. Also, what version of Windows are you running?
From a powershell window on the Windows machine, can you run get-process | findstr 'nscp' and post the result for us to look at? Also, from an elevated command prompt please run netstat -anb and post the full output as well.

I want to go back to this. You uploaded an nsclient.ini file however my questions is to check if there is a NSC.ini file in the same directory? It's very important that you look for this specific file.donKanon wrote:I attach it again. can you check it

Re: Windows monitoring nagios check_nt problem
If NSC.ini also exists, then it sounds like the new version is still referencing the old file.
I would:
Uninstall any versions of NSClient++ through Add/Remove Programs
Delete these directories if they exist:
"C:\Program Files\NSClient++"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\NSClient++"
Then install NSClient++ from scratch.

I did and the same, invalid password when I tests it on my nagios server.Box293 wrote:If NSC.ini also exists, then it sounds like the new version is still referencing the old file.

Re: Windows monitoring nagios check_nt problem
Please completely uninstall NSClient++, and then attempt to communicate with the system using check_nt or check_nrpe. Does it still say invalid password? There may be a ghost process hiding somewhere, or an installation in a different directory.

Can you post the exact command you are using to perform this test.donKanon wrote:I did and the same, invalid password when I tests it on my nagios server.

this is... and any other command that I tried to use is the same... INVALID PASSWORD.
Re: Windows monitoring nagios check_nt problem
Was this after doing what I mentioned above? There is nothing that explains what's going on, which is why we need to have you completely uninstall, and then try.rkennedy wrote:Please completely uninstall NSClient++, and then attempt to communicate with the system using check_nt or check_nrpe.
